DENTAL CHAIRSIDE ASSISTING (COMING 2024) - is designed to help develop the skills and knowledge necessary to work chairside with the dentist. Training will include the preparation of dental materials for radiology and four-hand dentistry, performing basic business procedures, and processing insurance forms along with subsequent documentation. The classroom has been equipped to replicate a dental office with the most current apparatus and software for practical application of the course instruction. A strong emphasis is placed on both patient care and business application. Students will also be awarded the opportunity to participate in off-site clinical practice. This program will prepare students for post-secondary education towards the New York State Dental Assisting Licensing Program. *Additional medical requirements are necessary for full participation in this program including but not limited to a physical (beyond what the school requires) and vaccinations i.e. flu, COVID-19. These requirements are subject to change as per current health guidelines.. |
